Please feel free to browse through our large selection of books or just relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
The Secondhand Bookshop is staffed entirely by volunteers and welcomes all donations of books in good condition, as well as periodicals such as ‘National Geographic’, ‘The Scotsman’, and craft and special interest magazines. We also accept records, tapes, CD’s and videos. We are able to arrange collection locally, if required.

Interested in being a Bookshop Volunteer?
Duties include organising the shelves and selling books to customers using a simple till, making and selling teas and coffees using our vending machine and a little light cleaning to ensure the shop is kept clean and tidy.
Some local knowledge would definitely be an advantage, as would a general willingness to chat to our visitors. You will need to have your own transport. Previous experience using a till is not essential as full training will be given.
