Royal Artillery Cottage
Originally part of the Coach House and Stables complex, this cottage provided living quarters for the Coachmen, Grooms and Stable-boys and for the Footmen and other male domestic servants in the Castle.
After World War II it was endowed by the Royal Artillery for use exclusively by disabled ex-service personnel, mainly from the Erskine Memorial Hospital.
This charming sandstone cottage has recently been refurbished and now provides excellent facilities for both the disabled and the able bodied alike. Situated within the Clocktower Courtyard, adjacent to the Castle, car parking is available just a few yards away.
Comprising two twin bedrooms, a sitting room and fully equipped kitchen, the Royal Artillery Cottage sleeps four guests in comfort and is a joy to stay in. The bathroom features a bath and a seperate wheel-chair accessible shower with seat.
With views over the Firth of Clyde towards the Island of Arran from every room, you can just sit back and enjoy the view for hours!
Please note - No nursing care or medical back-up is provided.
