Brewhouse Flat
Beer and staple drink for all of the estate workers was brewed in this location until the 3rd Marquess of Ailsa extended the Castle and turned the Brewhouse area into one huge wine cellar. Nowadays the only things brewing in the Brewhouse are tea and coffee - but please feel free to bring your own more potent refreshments!
The Brewhouse Flat is part of what is now the Castle’s 'West Wing' and has its own private entrance with nearby parking. (There are approximately twenty steps leading down to the front door of this Flat).
Comprising two twin bedrooms, a sitting room, bathroom (with shower over bath) and fully equipped kitchen, the Brewhouse Flat sleeps four guests in comfort. The sitting room window looks out over the Firth of Clyde towards the Island of Arran providing somewhere to sit back, relax and enjoy the view.
Please note : Children will require supervision as there is no fence or barrier between the edge of the lawn and the cliff edge.
