Overview

All Facilities Open for 2008 Summer Season

Guided Walks ~
Ranger led Guided Walks will start from the visitor Centre Courtyard at 2.00pm on the days indicated. The content and route of each walk will vary dependant on the interests of the Rangers, the season and individual visitors, but will tend to be of a general nature unless otherwise requested. guided walks last one hour and are free of charge.


Ranger Led Themed Excursions ~
last up to 2 hours and are free unless otherwise stated. Please refer to the events programme listed below for times and meeting points and any booking requirements.


Guided Tours of the Castle ~
Public guided tours are available daily at 3.00pm in April and during July to October only.


Organised Parties ~
Organised parties requiring Ranger Led Walks or Guided Castle Tours should contact the Reservations Secretary in advance of the visit to make special arrangements.

Dare you meet Scotland’s two most wicked pirates, Captain Israel Flint, his incompetent mate Cutthroat Hugo, and their vicious shipmates? They have stolen a sea chest from Long John Silver which they believe holds his treasure. Will they be the richest pirates on the Carrick Coast or will mayhem and fighting result?
Musket fire, tales of piracy and plunder
Main shows at 12.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.30pm at the Visitor Centre
Come in costume - best dressed pirate competitions (for children and adults!)

In 2008 Autospirit, in partnership with the National Trust for Scotland, will present an exciting all new major motoring event, the Culzean Autoclassica, hosted right here at Culzean Castle.
The event is aimed at all marques of transport, with particular emphasis on top or significant marques. Historic, vintage, classsic, racing, sports and touring cars, along with performance cars and bikes and commercial vehicles will be on display around the Castle and around the grounds throughout the weekend.
A wide variety of activities and attractions, including heritage racing, international and street concours d'elegance, classic and auto memorabilia displays, club and single entry enclosures, manufacturers and dealer enclosures, a trade village, classic vehicle auctions, fashions shows, hog roast barbeques and live music will provide something of interest for all of those attending.

The Young Naturalists' Club (YNC)

Castle Club
For children aged 6 to 12 years. Meets at the Castle Education Room (in the Clocktower Courtyard). Numbers are limited for the Castle Club - book by phone on 01655 884400 or call in at the Visitor Centre after 10.00am on the day of event.
£1.00 per child, per session.

ECOS - Environmental, Conservation and Outdoor Skills
A club for teenagers aged 12 to 16 years. Meets at the Visitor Centre.
